The unnamed Mexican businessman is believed to have been visiting the boatyard and watched helplessly as more than 50 firefighters battled the huge fire on the 112ft Sunseeker motor cruiser on Friday night. A £7 million luxury yacht has been destroyed in a massive blaze days before it was due to be shipped to its new owner in Mexico.
The ten-room triple decker yacht was completely destroyed in the fire at Poole Harbour, Dorset, but nobody was hurt.

Firefighters put out the blaze after several hours.
A Dorset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said a lightning strike is being investigated as a possible cause of the blaze. Police are also trying to discover the cause.
Sunseeker make yachts for the world’s richest people and owners are thought to include Eddie Jordan and Lewis Hamilton.
Neighbouring yachts were moved away and were unharmed.
