A worker has paid £2million to his bosses after being sent the massive windfall in his monthly paycheck.
The payroll department at manufacturing giant Alcoa Howmet, in Exeter, Devon, accidentally paid the worker the seven-figure sum instead of his £2,000 monthly pay.
The worker contacted his manager before his employers even noticed the money was missing.

It is likely he would have been traced within days and asked to repay the money if he had not done so voluntarily.
The worker who makes turbine blades was stunned when he checked his bank account and found the £2 million overpayment.
Bosses have praised his honesty. A spokesman said: 'I can confirm that one of our employees at Exeter has received an incorrect payment.
'When he found out he acted immediately and reported the payment to the company and this has been corrected quickly.
'We are obviously very pleased that the person acted in such an honest and immediate way and showed so much integrity.
'It is a good example of the quality of people we have at our company. The sum of money involved was a significant amount.
'We are investigating how this happened and it is something we are taking very seriously. We are very happy that this employee acted so quickly but we are also looking into the incident.'
The bungle is the second embarrassment for the company in four months. Last year they apologised to workers after making public pay details of scores of employees.
The files, which were briefly posted online, showed salaries, and personal details of its staff.
