Georgia holds Summer Redneck Games with toilet seat tossing...

Watermelon pip spitting, toilet seat tossing and armpit serenades... welcome to the Summer Redneck Games

Never mind 100m sprints and synchronised diving... if you want real sporting prowess, look no further than watermelon pip spitting and toilet seat tossing.
The 15th annual Summer Redneck Games took place at the weekend, where spectators were treated to such zany delights as bobbing for pigs' feet and armpit serenading.
And two masters of the mudpit belly flop were back for a third year running at the event in East Dublin, Georgia in the U.S.

Rawni and Rob Sprague took the plunge in what is now part of their wedding anniversary tradition.
Friends of Rawni, 45, even held her train as she threw herself into the mud.
The Spragues got married at the Redneck Games and return each year to renew their vows by being the first to dive in.
'It's good times and good people. I love it,' said Rob, 46.

And hoping for victory in the armpit serenading category was young competitor Daniel Wright.
Under the midday sun, he put his hand-arm skills to the test as he wowed the crowd with his artistry.
It is not known whether he matched the legendary performance of a 12-year-old back in 2000 who gave a tearjerking rendition of the classic Dixie.
The Redneck Games started in Georgia in 1996 as a light-hearted tribute to the Summer Olympics in Atlanta.

And in that first year, organisers expected 500 to turn up. Instead, they got 5,000.
Over the last ten years, over 95,000 people have attended the one-day event.
Supporter Rusty Henderson from the Georgia Civil War Commission said: 'It's grown every year. It's been voted one of the top five craziest events in the whole country.'

The East Dublin Lions Club helps to organise the Games and says all profits go to local charities.
Musical acts this year included the Jeff Vaughan Band, Ronnie Mullis, One 19, Crossfire Band, Big Don Band and Josh Daniel Band.
By the times the games were over, just about everyone was covered in mud.
