Biggest burger's a whopper at 777lbs
Meat the makers ... Brett Enright, left, and Nick Nicora with their giant burger
CHEFS have created the world's biggest hamburger — weighing an incredible 777lbs.
The treat, which smashed the previous record of 590lbs, was made with a single huge beef patty and took 15 hours to cook.
Punters crowded round as a forklift was needed to lift the meal — which was completed with onions, lettuce and a giant bun — on to scales.
The burger was made by Brett Enright and Nick Nicora for a food festival in Pleasanton, California.
Brett said he came up with the idea during a month off work.
He said: "I thought, 'I bet I could build the world's largest burger.'
"So I looked it up."
Punters could get a taste of the giant meal for 99 cents. All proceeds went to charity.
