Mind the gap! Is this what they call off-road parking?
Well it's one way to get a space - though the driver of this Volkswagen Polo got into the tight spot by chance rather than skill.
The driver escaped unscathed after she ploughed through railings and plunged several feet into a gap between the pavement and a house in Lemon St, Truro.

The 25-year-old teacher missed her turning when she got flustered by a driver behind her.
She said: 'There was someone quite close behind me and I was focusing on that,
looking in the rear-view mirror and thinking, "back off".
'It's all a bit blurry because it happened so quickly. When the car stopped I just sat there thinking, "Oh no" - or something not quite that polite.'

Luckily, a passer-by opened the passenger door and helped her clamber out of the trapped vehicle.
The woman, who had been on her way to collect her boyfriend, added: 'I was really shaken up, in complete shock.
'My boyfriend couldn't understand how I had managed to do it.'
She said: 'I don't think it was the best parking I have ever done'
