Snow and ice sculpture festival opens in Sapporo, Japan
Over 250 giant ice sculptures have drawn in thousands of visitors at the opening
of the Sapporo Snow Festival in Japan. The annual festival, which started in 1950,
is one of the country's biggest tourist attractions with an estimated 2.5 million people
visiting the event last year. Pictured above is a half scale model of China's World
