Brazil builds world's largest Lego tower in Sao Paulo 

Brazil is the new home of the world's largest Lego tower, built after four days of toil in the city of Sao Paulo.

The project is 31.19m (102ft) tall – breaking the previous record set in Chile by 25cm (9.8in).

Former Brazilian football star Cafu placed the last bricks on the top from a cherrypicker, making Sao Paolo the 44th city and 32nd country with a completed Lego tower.
The tower, which was built in the car park of a the Shopping Centre Norte, took four days to construct, and used more than 500,000 individual Lego pieces.
Danish toy firm Lego sent designers from Denmark to Brazil for the event.
The first Lego tower was built in London in 1988 and stood just a little over 15 metres. 
Ever since then, 53 cities have hosted the tower in more than 30 countries.
The Lego tower will be on display until April 14.
