Alcatel launches Royal wedding mobile phone
Alcatel has launched a customised mobile phone to celebrate the Royal wedding.
The front of the phone is decorated with a union flag, while the back is red and marked with a C and a W and the date of the wedding.
The special edition Alcatel One Touch handset also has wallpaper featuring a picture of Prince William and Kate Middleton and the ringtone plays Mendelssohn’s Wedding March.
The phone will cost £14.95 from The Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy on a pay as you go plan.
Mark Eastham, commercial director for The Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy, said: “We are delighted to offer this fun, limited edition Royal wedding-themed phone to our customers. It’s great to offer a product which really taps into the national spirit over the coming months and is still an affordable option for customers.”
The celebratory phone is not the only Royal wedding-related technology to have emerged over the last few days. In addition to numerous mobile apps offering Royal wedding countdowns and news, electrical firm GE has announced a William and Kate “commemorative fridge”.
The fridge, adorned with a picture of the happy couple, was customised by GE following suggestions from Facebook users.
