It is completely road-legal, fully serviced, and will guarantee you never miss out on a parking space.

But with a top speed of just 25mph, you might not get anywhere quickly in this 1965 armoured personnel carrier going up for sale at auction next week.

The vehicle, believed to have been previously driven by Jeremy Clarkson and Jenson Button, as well as featuring in action films, is expected to sell for £6,000-£8,000 when it goes under the hammer.

It will be sold as part of a 300-lot militaria auction in Towcester, Northamptonshire, on Tuesday evening, along with a collection of never-seen-before photographs of Adolf Hitler.

Auctioneer Jonathan Humbert, of J.P.Humbert Auctioneers, said: 'It's a 1965 Type FV432, 14-tonne armoured personnel carrier.

'It carries 14 people, is a proper tracked vehicle, and is fully road-legal - all you need is an H licence.

'It's quite a famous vehicle, called Caerphilly. Quite a few celebrities have driven it, including Jeremy Clarkson and Jenson Button and we think it's also been in a few action films.

'It's got a price tag of £6,000-£8,000, and really is a perfect gift for the person who has everything - and you would never have any problem parking in the town centre.

'It also comes with all the technical back-up. They are actually quite easy to service too.

'It's genuinely a good buy for anyone who has a few acres.'

The sale includes memorabilia from the Nazi regime, including hundreds of photographs of Hitler taken by his personal photographer Heinrich Hoffmann.

The photographs and negatives, taken during the party's rise to power before the Second World War, are expected to sell for a six-figure sum.

Hoffmann was chosen by Hitler as his official photographer and his photographs were published as postage stamps, postcards, posters and picture books.

In 1933 he was elected to the Reichstag and in 1938 Hitler appointed him a Professor.

A large archive of Hoffmann's photographs was seized by the United States government during the Allied occupation of Germany, now held by the National Archives and Records Administration.

But the collection of 600-800 images, thought to have been passed to an elderly man by the photographer, feature scenes including Hitler meeting Benito Mussolini, as well as going to an SS training camp.

Mr Humbert said: 'We've now had some of them digitally developed and they are actually more interesting than we thought, there are quite a few of Hitler actually smiling, which is fairly unusual.

'I am genuinely astonished by the amount of interest we have had in these Hoffmann photographs, even from Germany.'

Also due to go under the hammer on Tuesday is a signed picture of Winston Churchill, as well as a signed photograph of Adolf Hitler, expected to sell for £5,000-£8,000.

'It is signed by Hitler and has an annotation in German,' said Mr Hubert. 'It has come through an impeccable route to the vendor, so I believe it to be genuine.

'All of these items together have conspired to create a militaria sale of international importance, so we are jolly pleased.'
