Lorry Driver Caught Eating Cereal On M25
A driver has been caught on camera eating a bowl of cereal - while at the wheel of a lorry on a busy motorway.
Spotted travelling along the M25 near South Mimms, Hertfordshire, the irresponsible motorist can be seen using both hands to eat his breakfast.
Jo Bullock, from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, said: "I dare say many drivers have seen others around them eating a packet of crisps or a bar of chocolate.
"But not many people will have seen someone actually eating from a bowl while at the wheel, so this is a pretty extreme case.
"When you're at the wheel, your primary focus should be on driving, so it is disappointing to see a professional driver engaged in an activity that could be so distracting."
She added that the group urged employers to organise drivers' shifts to discourage them from stealing a bite to eat while on the road.
Joel Hickman, from road safety charity Brake, told Sky News Online: "Eating cereal whilst driving is completely unacceptable and poses a serious risk to other motorists.
"To put it simply, motorists who eat behind the wheel are putting other people's lives in jeopardy."
